Here are 3 tips that you can follow to keep children healthy:

Encourage them to play board games:

As a mother you must be understanding how much pressure kids go through these days: Be it parental pressure or academic pressure or something else. You also find yourself helpless sometimes as you can’t compromise on kids’ education for their shining future, but you can always try to lessen their burden in some other way. Playing board games is a great way to lessen the stress of kids. Bring educational board games at home and start playing with them. They will have fun playing such innovative games. More they will enjoy the happiness of playing together, especially with parents. Your kids will be learning playfully without even their knowledge. If you are confused about which game to buy, let me get you the solution:

A brand new, interactive board game is going to be launched in market soon, which is designed with the purpose of developing STEM skills of children. This family-friendly tabletop game will take your kid on a journey to a tree squirrel’s world. The animal loving nature of an aerospace engineer, named Randy Hecht, inspired him to invent this game. He even wants to donate a certain percentage of proceed to local animal charities. This game will truly inculcate confidence and competitive spirit in your child as well as will improve their cognitive skills. It’s a fun game that will make your kids happy, hence will reduce their pressure and stress. Your kids will learn about squirrel behaviors. Moreover, the game will improve their verbal and communication skills as well as logical and reasoning skills. Children also will get the opportunity to practice math and negotiation skills through this educational game. Do you intend to support the creators of this board game? You can surely do so, theres a kickstarter campaign being created for you to go and pledge for the project and contribute for the noble cause. It’s not a bad idea because they’re giving back to the community in a positive way.

Make them Eat Healthy

You must be wondering what connection does our brain have with healthy eating. Let me give you a clear picture. Human body needs vitamins and nutrients in order to make the brain function. If you don’t feed your kids correctly, their brain will not function properly. It will affect their academic performance as well as mental health. So, don’t forget to give them energy drink, meat, fish, milk, vegetables, nuts, seeds etc.

Encourage them to do physical activity

Physical activity is very important for kids to keep their brain active. You should encourage them to practice yoga or play in parks. When your kids are physically active interacting with others, they will develop social skills and will learn how to deal with emotions. Physical activity will help them with healthy mental growth. As a mother, you must be the role model of your child. What can be better than if you accompany him in playground or yoga? Think about it.

Allergy season: 8 powerful Herbal Treatments for Allergy Relief

It is that time of the year again. Time for sneezing, watery eyes, congested sinuses, itching, and headaches. Allergy season is here, and millions of people are going to turn to Claritin, Zyrtec, Benadryl and other dangerous medicines to get relief from their symptoms. Allergies are one the most common chronic conditions worldwide. In Fact,

  • Nasal allergies affect approximately 50 million people in the United States.
  • Allergies are increasing. They affect around 30% of adults and 40% of children.
  • Allergy disorder and asthma is the fifth leading chronic disease in the U.S.. And it is the third most frequent chronic condition in children under 18 years old.

An allergic response occurs in the immune system. If you experience an allergy, your immune system mistakes an otherwise harmless substance (allergens such as pollen, dust, pet dander and mold) as an intruder. The immune system exaggerates to the allergen by creating IgE antibodies. These antibodies progress to your cells that release histamine and other substances, resulting in an allergic reaction. A common condition for seasonal allergies is Allergic Rhinitis also called Hay Fever. Pollen is the most common allergen. It causes symptoms such as a stuffy and itchy nose, sneezing, runny nose, watery and itchy eyes. In severe cases, allergies may also trigger symptoms of asthma. Allergic rhinitis can be both seasonal and perennial.

Most doctors would prescribe you antihistamines to help reduce symptoms. Antihistamines work by blocking histamine. By blocking histamine and keeping it from binding to receptors, antihistamines inhibit these symptoms. While antihistamines can be quite efficient at managing your symptoms, there have a plenty of possible side effects and issues. Some of the most common are drowsiness, fatigue, dizziness, dry mouth, sore throat, nausea and more. Moreover, and most importantly, they do not stop the problem from occurring in the first place; they just mask the symptoms.

Luckily, there are natural alternatives like eating your antihistamines in the form of healthy herbs, spices and vitamins. Moreover, some of the natural alternatives can even address the root cause and not only mask your symptoms. If you like this article, please follow my work on my FB page (contacts below article).

And now let’s take a look at top 8 herbal remedies for seasonal allergies:

Vitamin C

Vitamin C has strong anti-histamine action and detoxifies unknown substances invading your body. As a natural antihistamine, Vitamin C works by suppressing the molecular structure of histamine, thereby limiting the amount of histamine in your blood.

Preliminary research implies it might help reduce allergy symptoms. For example, a study published in the European Respiratory Journal discovered that eating fruits high in Vitamin C helped to lessen asthma symptoms in 8-year-olds subjects. Another study found evidence to confirm the role of Vitamin C supplementation in adults who experienced allergic rhinitis.

It is also recommended to take bioflavonoids (for example in rose hips) together with Vitamin C, which strengthens the effect.

How to take:

Tips: I am not a big fan of synthetic Vitamin C as ascorbic acid. Therefore I recommend natural forms such as Rose Hips or Camu Camu; another good choice is Liposomal Vitamin C made from sodium ascorbate. Liposomal vitamin C passes through the digestive barrier and delivers the nutrient directly to the bloodstream. This method has a much higher absorption rate with over 90% of the cells being soaked in vitamin C (oral vitamin C intake has a 20% absorption rate). Some experts even suggest that liposomal vitamin C may be even superior to IV vitamin C.

Dosing: Typical dosages can be up to 1,000 milligrams of vitamin C with Bioflavonoids (such as Quercetin) three times a day. Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, so any surplus that the body does not need will be flushed out through the urine. However, higher doses may cause GI distress.

Butterbur is used with success for seasonal allergies, migraines, and asthma and several scientific papers back this up. Studies show that an extract of butterbur is just as effective at alleviating nasal symptoms as popular prescription antihistamines. Butterbur contains a number of substances such as petasin and isopetasin, which have analgesic and antispasmodic properties. It reduces inflammation by reducing secretion of histamine and leukotrienes by immune cells.

Several scientific studies indicate it can indeed help with allergic rhinitis. One extensive study of over a hundred people with hay fever found that an extract of butterbur was as effective as Zyrtec. Another medical study compared butterbur to Allegra with similar findings.

Conclusions of some other studies:

  • Butterbur is efficient and safe therapy for the treatment of asthma.
  • It is useful for the treatment for occasional allergic rhinitis symptoms and is very well tolerated.
  • Butterbur is as effective as fexofenadine in relieving nasal symptoms in patients with perennial allergic rhinitis (a study involving 330 people!)
  • It presents protection against chemically-induced nasal responsiveness in seasonal allergic rhinitis.

”In a study administered in four Swiss and German general medicine and allergy clinics, 125 hay fever patients were divided into two groups. One received butterbur root extract; the other, Zyrtec. After two weeks of the test treatment, the butterbur and Zyrtec were equally efficient at relieving the usual distress and lack of energy often accompanied with spring and seasonal allergies, says study author Andreas Schapowal, MD, a Swiss ear, nose, and throat surgeon. In the following study, Schapowal found that treatment with butterbur root extract also decreased nasal allergy symptoms, such as itching, sneezing, congestion and runny nose, but also watery eyes.”

How to take:

Tips:  Low-quality butterbur may contain potentially harmful liver-toxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids. Look for quality PA-free butterbur such as butterbur root extract Petadolex or any other extract from a quality well-known manufacturer.

Dosing: Trials in a migraine, allergic rhinitis, and asthma have used butterbur extracts in dosages ranging from 50 to 100 mg twice daily. Doses up to 500 mg per day seems safe.

Another compound is Quercetin, which is one of the most powerful flavonoids on the planet. Quercetin can help allergy symptoms because it stops immune cells from creating histamines, which can trigger those often terrible allergic reactions. In fact, it is so powerful that you may find Quercetin in some ancient Chinese herbal formulas designed to block allergies to certain foods such as peanuts.

Quercetin is a plant pigment that occurs in various plants and foods; such as red wine, capers, red onions, red grapes, quinoa, green tea, apples, berries, tomatoes, peppers, green leafy veggies, cruciferous vegetables, asparagus, legumes, and beans. Fruits with a dark red or blue color usually have the highest quercetin content. Quercetin is a very potent antioxidant; it lowers inflammation, supports your cardiovascular system, helps fight pain, and also shows some promise as an anti-cancer compound and more. You can obtain quercetin from the foods above, or you can ingest it in a supplement form, a popular combination is quercetin-bromelain, which I use as well, and it is very effective for allergies and sinus problems amongst other benefits.

Research show that quercetin is comparable at fighting allergies as some prescription medications, and again with little to no side effects. It hinders the release of histamine that is responsible for the inflammation. In test tubes, it effectively stops the production and release of histamine, which creates allergy symptoms such as watery eyes and runny nose.

“Quercetin is the herbal equal to cromolyn sodium [in the over-the-counter spray NasalCrom],” “The evidence is encouraging.”

How to take:

Tips: You should use it as a long term remedy, about 4-6 weeks before allergy season to help prevent the symptoms. I recommend taking it together with bromelain.

Dosing: Though you can find Quercetin in certain foods, it is quite challenging to get the amount needed to help with allergies from food alone. Recommended dosage is usually 500mg three times a day for the most benefits.

Another allergy helper is a substance people usually do not normally know as an allergy aid. Nevertheless, it helps! Bromelain is a protein extract from the stems of pineapples, though the juice from the pineapple’s flesh contains bromelain as well. It is an enzyme composite and is often used in digestive enzyme supplement formulas. Bromelain’s other health benefits include sinus problems, asthma, allergies and joint pain. Bromelain is commonly marketed as a natural anti-inflammatory for ailments such as arthritis. It is one of the most popular natural supplements in Germany, where it is approved by the Commission E for the treatment of inflammation and swelling of the sinuses and nose due to injury or surgery. Some studies have found that bromelain is effective in reducing nasal swelling and thinning mucus, making it easier for people to breathe. It reduces phlegm in respiratory conditions such as sinusitis, bronchitis, and asthma.

Bromelain reduces the production of cytokines (inflammatory chemicals) and decreases the migration of inflammatory immune cells to sites of inflammation. Some studies suggest that bromelain helps modulate the entire immune system and that it can prevent allergies by targeting the root cause – an over-sensitive immune system.

”A trial involving 116 children found that bromelain was helpful in lessening symptoms of sinusitis, with those taking bromelain recovering significantly more quickly than those on placebo.”

How to take:

Tips: Bromelain enhances the absorption of Quercetin. I recommend taking them together.

Dosing: Allergy sufferers can take between 500 mg and 2,000 mg a day divided into two or three doses. Take on an empty stomach to maximize absorption (if taking for protein digestion, take with meals of course).

Yes, turmeric, ‘the cure it all‘ superstar : ) Turmeric is one the most well-researched plants in the world with hundreds of possible health benefits. There are thousands of scientific papers available on turmeric medicinal properties. Extensive research over the past few decades has shown that it plays a significant role in the prevention and treatment of numerous diseases. Curcumin, the main substance, is non-toxic and has a variety of therapeutic properties including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anti-cancer, also possess antimicrobial activities and numerous others. It helps in cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, metabolic, autoimmune diseases, but also diabetes and arthritis.

Turmeric is a potent anti-inflammatory. It eliminates excess mucus in the sinuses and aids in healing the respiratory tissue. Curcumin is helpful in bronchial asthma and other lung problems. It is beneficial for allergy sufferers as well. Many people report success with treating their allergies with turmeric tea.

Research has revealed that turmeric reduces inflammation by decreasing the histamine levels. ”(Curcumin inhibits Syk kinase-dependent signaling events in mast cells and might thus contribute to its antiallergic activity).” Another study says that Curcumin may help to increase antioxidant enzymes and decrease oxidative stress in allergic rhinitis. Researchers recommend curcumin to decrease oxidative stress in allergic rhinitis.

How to take:

Tips: Take turmeric with some healthy fat and black pepper to significantly increase absorption and bioavailability, which is otherwise very low. Quercetin and bromelain seem to enhance absorption too. Check more in my other article here  ; Always buy from a well-known organic brand, because many turmeric powders may contain relatively high amounts of heavy metals and/or other contaminants. Caution: curcumin is a powerful yellow pigment, and it may permanently discolor surfaces.

Dosing: One or two teaspoons two times a day (1.5-3g) or 400-1500mg extract (95% curcuminoids) per day total. Dosages of curcumin up to 8g per day have been used – Higher doses may cause adverse GI effects.

Stinging Nettle

Many people swear by this old traditional medicine for allergies. Another superstar – Often used as an allergy treatment; this botanical is considered to be a useful histamine blocker as well as an inflammation fighter. There’s some evidence that using stinging nettle after the first sign of allergic signs can in fact help. However, despite its common use, there are not many studies backing up stinging nettle’s effectiveness as an allergy treatment. It is more a traditional folk medicine like ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar), but there are some studies. One small study implied that stinging nettle might help lessen symptoms of allergic rhinitis.

In a randomized, double-blind study, subjects with allergies reported fewer symptoms after one week use of freeze-dried nettle. Moreover, research from 2009 provides promising results for the first time:

”A mechanistic understanding of the role of nettle extracts in reducing allergic and other inflammatory responses. Nettle extract (Urtica dioica) affects key receptors and enzymes associated with allergic rhinitis. A nettle extract shows in vitro inhibition of several key inflammatory events that cause the symptoms of seasonal allergies.”

To sum up, Stinging nettle’s anti-inflammatory characteristics affect a variety of enzymes and key receptors in allergic reactions, inhibiting hay fever signs if taken when they first emerge.

How to take:

Tips: Be sure to choose extracts of stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) leaf, not the root, which is used to treat prostate ailments. Go with a Freeze Dried extract or tincture; in fact, Herbalists often recommends Tincture for instant relief.

Dosing: Dosing depends on the potency of the extract; therefore use as directed. Freeze-dried nettle leaf 600 mg has been used in a clinical trial for allergic rhinitis.

This one is my favorite for allergies. For some reason, it is often forgotten. Sulfur is one of the most prominent composites in our bodies, just behind sodium and water. In fact, it is the fourth most abundant mineral in your body. Sulfur is involved in the production of energy in body cells, and the formation of antibodies. Scientist Dr. Jacob concluded that the sulfur in MSM, called sulfonyl, is as safe and as important as vitamin C in our diet, unlike the bad sulfurs: sulfas, sulfites, sulfates, and sulfides. MSM is a composite found naturally in foods such as cow’s milk, seafood, meat, veggies, and fruits. It has positive wide-spectrum effects, especially in maintaining healthy cell formation. MSM softens the cell walls, allowing foreign particles such as allergens, and any free-radicals to be flushed out of your system. It is used to help with number of conditions, including allergies.

MSM does not act as an anti-histamine compound that hinders histamine production. Its effectiveness is probably due to the capability to block the receptivity of histamine in the delicate tissue of the mucus membranes of nasal passages. This process prevents the histamine from forming the inflammation and swelling that usually accompanies allergies. Allergy sufferers that have taken MSM have reported back to their doctors that their pain levels were fifty percent less, or better, after using this supplement. Most patients report improvement and a reduction in pain and allergy symptoms within a week. Researchers believe that MSM works in a similar way to aspirin; to reduce pain and swelling due to inflammation.

”In addition, Dr. Mercola notes, MSM is 34% sulfur, which your body needs. Sulfur helps the body detoxify itself, and also helps build glutathione, an important antioxidant. MSM is very safe and you can take it at high doses, even if one’s diet is full of MSM-rich foods. Those of our staff who found a full relief took more than 2600 mg: up to 10,000 mg a day in divided doses. At these doses, it is often more beneficial to take MSM as a powder rather than a capsule, most of which contain 1,000 mg.’‘

”In one study, patients who received 2600 mg of MSM found their upper and total respiratory symptoms significantly reduced within 7 days, and improvement continued for the whole 30 days of that study (from the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine).

How to take:

Tips: Get the pure powder form, without any fillers and additives. Personally, I use organic sulphur Derived from pine lignans sourced from marine pine trees.

Dosing: Dr. Earl L. Mindell, R.Ph., Ph.D., suggests allergy sufferers start using at least 6,000mg of MSM daily for three weeks in divided doses and reduce to 3,000mg per day after that. Also, he advises people drink more water and boost their intake of Vitamin C to lower histamine levels. The ideal dosage would depend on your body size. Sometimes, it takes up to 3 weeks to notice effects.

Neti Pot / Saline Rinse:

This one is not any herb or supplement, but it is so helpful that it should be on the list too.
The simple theory is that you use a Neti Pot filled with a saline solution to clean out the sinuses of allergens and irritations. Either use a pre-made sterile saline rinse or make your own by dissolving one teaspoon of Himalayan salt (or sea salt) in a cup of boiled distilled water. Let it cool and put in your Neti Pot. Pour through one nostril and let it flow out the other, then switch sides.

CAUTION: You need to use distilled water, never use an unboiled tap water !!
TIP: I also add a drop or two of oregano oil, a teaspoon of coconut oil, and some MSM, but just salt rinse will do.

More Quick Tips:

Probiotics – it all starts in your gut, your allergies may simply be the result of an imbalance in your gut where your immune system exists. Therefore, proper diet and plenty od probiotics are essential for your allergies and health in general. Additionally, one small study suggests that L. acidophilus, a type of “friendly” bacteria, might help reduce allergic reaction to pollen. Moreover, new research links the presence of beneficial bacteria in the gut with reduced incidence of allergies.

Nasal Sprays and Eye,Ear Drops – Natural nasal sprays offers relief as well, I recommend nasal spray with GSE or silver, for eye drops: get natural or homeopathic. If you have itchy ears try mullein-garlic oil ear drops.

Diet and Vitamins – processed foods, junk foods, hydrogenated oils, white flour, sugar, high salt intake, preservatives, msg, artificial sweeteners, diet drinks and many other poor food choices are harmful to your health, and all of these can worsen your allergies or even creating them. Get adequate levels of vitamin D, B and eat plenty of veggies. Switching to a healthy anti-inflammatory diet, removing all toxic foods and toxins from your home, drinking raw vegetable juices and leading a healthy lifestyle (no alcohol, no smoking, reducing stress) in general are crucial steps.

Superfoods – some superfoods like Spirulina stops the release of histamine, which contributes to symptoms of allergic rhinitis, thus may help protect against harmful allergic reactions. Another beneficiary superfood for allergy sufferers is medicinal mushroom Reishi.

Other Helpful Herbs for Sinuses, Allergies and Lungs – Astragalus Root, Andrographis, GSE, Horseradish, Horehound, GoldenRod, Rosmarinic acid, Timothy Grass extract, Tinospora cordifolia, Perilla, Pycnogenol, Garlic, Ginger and NAC (N-Acetyl L-Cysteine: reduces the viscosity of mucus and clears your lungs).

Essential Oils / Steaming – especially steaming with oils like peppermint and eucalyptus can clear up your sinuses and relieve your allergy symptoms.

Air purifier – quality air purifier such as IQ AIR can remove significant percent of allergen particles in your home. For heavy allergy sufferers it is a big help to get a quality purifier with real HEPA filter and which does not create ozone.

Homeopathics and other Home Remedies – such as Apple Cider Vinegar, raw honey, and certain herbal teas may help too; you may want to try some homeopathic formulas as well, I found some to be quite effective.

Safety, Side Effects:

Any of these herbs can cause an allergic reaction in some individuals.
Butterbur may interact with some medications that are processed by the liver. Also, it can cause stomach upset, headache, and minor drowsiness. Pregnant and breastfeeding women and young children should not take butterbur.
Do not take Stinging Nettle without talking to your doctor first if you have diabetes or if you take blood pressure medication, blood thinners, or diuretics. Not suitable for pregnant women.
Turmeric 1, 2
Bromelain has a blood-thining action, and some people are allergic to pineapple products.
Quercetin in higher doses may interfere with some medications.

When you add any of these herbs to your diet in any way, start small and monitor your body’s response. As always, consult a medical professional or qualified herbalist before adding a powerful new components like this to your herbal regimen. In fact, It would be best to work with a natural medicine practitioner who is well-educated on using herbal medicine. It is especially important if you have any medical condition, taking any medications or if you are a pregnant or breastfeeding woman; and if you plan to start giving herbs to your kids.

Final Words:

These natural treatments often work best if started early in the season before pollen counts become too high. As you can see, we do not need big pharma’s antihistamines. Some of these herbs not only helps with the symptoms but actually address the root cause. Don’t forget that healthy lifestyle and your diet contributes a lot. Personally, before my spring allergies occur, I start to user nettle leaf, butterbur, quercetin with bromelain, Andrographis and I up my dosages of vitamin C, MSM and turmeric and my symptoms are close to zero. I wish you a symptom-free allergic season. Finally, Don’t forget to check my other articles on my FB page (contacts below).

Newborn Human Baby Blood Shown to Reverse Age Related Diseases?

A recent scientific study published in the scientific Journal Nature has born out the possibility that components of the blood of newborn human babies could actually reverse many of the problems associated with cognitive and other impairments due to aging. While this may strike many as a horrific topic with it’s possible implications. Be aware this research is all linked to the scientific journals. A topic not for the faint of heart.

Human Umbilical Cord Plasma Proteins Revitalize Hippocampal Function in Aged Mice

This is a type of Parabiosis literally meaning “living beside“. By connecting the circulatory systems of two animals into one as in direct transfusion or periodic injections of donor blood. While the technology of transfusion, a form of Parabiosis, has been employed for centuries to save lives from catastrophic blood loss due to injury or surgery. Many would be horrified to know this practice is also being used by the rich and powerful for life extension to this day. Literally injecting the blood of the young for it’s rejuvenating properties. The topic was covered in depth in Raptorman’s last post about this grisly subject. It was reported widely by independent media.

Are the Aging Elite “Feasting On Young Blood”? Rockefeller Research Advanced Eternal Quest

There are many accounts of the elite throughout history using the blood of young children for sacrificial and life extending purposes. These accounts are often dismissed as lore from long ago and something of a legend like Dracula. The fact is this practice is still in fashion for life extension and is being publically admitted. Recent scientific studies have shown the health benefits of injecting a young animal’s blood into an older animal ranging from increased vitality, better skin, decreased aging, shiner hair and increased mental powers as well as physical stamina. A conceivably nightmarish scenario where the blood of the young becomes a commodity for the rich and powerful. Who’s lust for the good stuff does not stop at Italian marble and fine wines. Exploring this possibility is not to accuse any individual or corporation of violating the law. Asking a core question in the last post regarding the logical deduction about this ghoulish concept.

How young is the blood needed for maximum effects?

Asking this important question. What is the age of the blood needed for the maximum effects? Citing the scientific literature from the Journal NatureAny of the recent articles on the Parabiosis and the elite’s fascination with it all reference the same report in the journal Nature. Missing the most telling part of the report entitled Ageing research: Blood to blood.

This was only a couple paragraphs down from the material covered in the mainstream pieces. Mainstream media outlets must have lost interest after only a couple paragraphs.

Clive McCay, a biochemist and gerontologist at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, was the first to apply parabiosis to the study of ageing. In 1956, his team joined 69 pairs of rats, almost all of differing ages3. The linked rats included a 1.5-month-old paired with a 16-month-old — the equivalent of pairing a 5-year-old human with a 47-year-old. It was not a pretty experiment. Journal Nature   Ageing research: Blood to blood.

Scientific Research on this subject was originally done by Clive Mcay of Cornell University in 1956 and was funded by the Rockefeller Foundation and the secretive Office of Naval Research. The Rockefeller Foundation stating it’s intentions as far back as 1943 to mine blood for it’s prophylactic use therapeutic components. “Thus, what started as an inquiry into the practicability of using animal plasma as a blood substitute for transfusion purposes, has developed into a program of “mining” blood for its individual substances and for testing these concentrates for therapeutic and prophylactic use.

The pursuit of using blood for it’s preventative and therapeutic health qualities is nothing new. Tales of vampires and a bloodthirsty elite rooted in the urban legend are gaining a scientific footing.

These experiments demonstrate the age range to obtain effects is a sliding scale meaning the older you are the younger blood needed for maximum effect. Pairing the equivalent of an 18-year-old with a 47-year-old produced only negligible results. Whereas pairing that same 47-year-old with a 5-year-old produced much better results. Mining the components of the young blood to enhance the function of an older host. All of this is certainly not good for the young donor being sucked dry of its vitality.

New research has come to light also featured in the Journal Nature. Answering the question of how young the blood would need to be for certain maximum effects. As indicated in the original work done by Clive Mcay in 1956 the youngest blood has the most dramatic health effects when injected into older hosts. Now it is born out in the scientific literature just how young blood must be for maximum effect to be had.

Human Umbilical Cord Plasma Proteins Revitalize Hippocampal Function in Aged Mice

Regarding this experiment it was not injecting young mouse blood into older mice. Injections of actual newborn human blood plasma from donated umbilical cords were given to older mice. Dramatically increasing their brain function and overall physiology. The experiment focused on memory and cognitive ability improvements using a component called a TIMP2 protein, mined from human newborn baby blood. Only researching the effects of this one component called a TIMP2 protein but admitting all kinds of rejuvenate qualities were obtained by the injection of newborn human baby blood. The experiment was related to aging research and not Alzheimer’s disease as is often quoted in mainstream articles when broaching the need for such macabre experiments.

In addition to revitalizing other aged tissues, exposure to factors in young blood counter acts age related changes in these central nervous system parameters, Although the identities of specific cognition promoting factors or whether such activity exists in human plasma remains unknown. We hypothesized that plasma of an early developmental stage, namely umbilical cord plasma, provides a reservoir of such plasticity promoting proteins. Here we show that human cord plasma treatment revitalizes the hippocampus and improves cognitive function in aged mice. Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 2 (TIMP2), a blood born factor enriched in human cord plasma, young mouse plasma, and young mouse hippocampi appears in the brain after systemic administration and increases synaptic plasticity and hippocampal dependent cognition in aged mice.                    Journal Nature  Human Umbilical Cord Plasma Proteins Revitalize Hippocampal Function in Aged Mice

This cannot be understated. Human newborn baby blood reverses cognitive and other age-related ailments. Even in older mice that aren’t even human. Imagine what it would do for a billionaire in their late 40s who is overworked. Or an executive looking for any edge over their competition. What about an elite obsessed with life extension? Consider all of the horrific logical deductions. This is not to imply any wrongdoing by any individual or corporation. Only to show the relevant scientific research and ask logical questions as to where this is all going or where it has gone. Do you think there are enough donated umbilical cords to satisfy demand for such a conceivably important product?

These experiments demonstrate that the sliding scale slides all the way to the bottom if measured on an ethical gauge. The very youngest human blood being mined for it’s youth promoting effects. Possibly turned into commodity by the rich and powerful and used as a fountain of youth?

A darker picture could not be painted in the worst science fiction novel. Thanks to and for covering the last post on this subject. Please read the scientific literature linked here and spread this article far and wide. The thousands Facebook shares and likes of the original article were taken down from NaturalNewsBlogs by Facebook in the continued effort to keep information such as this from public view.

7 Incredible Benefits of Cod Liver Oil

Cod liver oil has been taken as a dietary supplement for centuries. It is extracted from the liver of the Atlantic Cod (Gadus morhua), and is extremely high in Omega 3 fatty acids. This supplies us with the good fats that our bodies need, to function efficiently, and makes it a natural anti-inflammatory product. In addition, cod liver oil contains vitamins A & D and has other health benefits. These include:

1. Maintains Bone Health

Our bodies can convert sunlight into vitamin D, which is very important to develop and maintain healthy cell functions and bone metabolism. For those living in more temperament climates a vitamin D supplement is recommended. Cod liver oil can be used by people of all ages, and has been used to prevent rickets in children since 1824, as well as for older people to treat osteoporosis.

2. Decreases Cancer Symptoms

There are many different types of cancer and each comes with its own symptoms. The vitamin D and fatty acids contained in cod liver oil help to reduce these in some types of cancer, including breast cancer. It also lowers the risk of tumours developing, and helps to keep cancer that has been treated in remission.

3. Increases Fertility

Omega 3 fatty acids help to boost the production of sex hormones in both the male and female reproductive systems. The anti-inflammatory properties contained in cod liver oil also promote healthy pituitary and adrenal glands, as well as the hypothalamic system. These glands are responsible for regulating pregnancy and reproductivity.

4. Helps Control Diabetes

Irregular blood glucose levels, controlled by insulin production in the body, are the main reason that people develop diabetes. There are also many related illnesses that can be caused by having this disease, and the fatty acids contained in cod liver oil help to control these as well as regulate insulin production. Omega 3 supplements are also recommended during pregnancy to decrease the chances of the new-born developing the disease. Research is also being conducted into whether cod liver oil can be used as a diabetes treatment, in addition to preventative measure.

5. Treats Arthritis

The anti-inflammatory properties in cod liver oil help to reduce pain, joint stiffness and swelling in arthritic patients. The supplement works in the same way that many prescribed medications do, and is used alongside them to treat rheumatoid arthritis.

6. Regulates Cholesterol

Many of our diets have a high content of Omega 6 fatty acids, which can lead to increased cholesterol levels. Cod liver oil provides our bodies with Omega 3 fatty acids, which balance good fat with the bad in the body helping to lower cholesterol.

7. Improves Cardiovascular Health

Normal blood pressure and cholesterol levels within our bodies are essential for a healthy heart. Cod liver oil helps lower the number of triglycerides in our bloodstream, reducing the risk of heart disease. The Omega 3 fatty acids also help to prevent hardening of the arteries, which control the blood flow through our body and maintain proper cardiovascular health.

Yeast Infection: Description, Causes and Treatment

What is Yeast Infection?

This kind of infection is most common among women. However, many remain ignorant or unaware of this medical problem. It is important to know the symptoms, dangers, and related conditions of yeast infection to be able to treat it early on. It is also necessary to determine the various causes of this disease to be able to avoid it before it even happens. Finally, it will be most helpful for any female person if she is also knowledgeable of the several possible treatments for yeast infection to be able to curtail it immediately.

Not many women are familiar with the term “yeast infection”. However, more women are probably aware of or have experienced previously the symptoms of this condition. The top three signs of having yeast infection are itching, burning and pain, and discharge (1). Itching of any part of the skin or body is usually caused by an infestation of foreign organisms such as fungi or bacteria in a particular area of the body. In the case of yeast infection, the affected portion is the vaginal part and the surrounding areas. The infection can cause intense itching that rashes or redness usually develop secondary to scratching. Another indication is a burning or painful sensation in that area especially when urinating. The skin in a woman’s vaginal part may already contain sores due to frequent scratching that when placed in contact with the acidity of urine may cause pain or a burning sensation. This feeling may be similar to that which is experienced when having urinary tract infection, however, they occur in different areas of the body. Lastly, some women report of having discharges that are usually described as odorless, white, and cheese-like. At other instances, a starch-like odor is said to be observed from the discharges.

Yeast infection itself is not considered as highly dangerous, however, it can be very irritating and disturbing especially among women who are already preoccupied with other responsibilities or tasks. On the other hand, like most infections, it is highly transferable to other individuals including the opposite sex. Certain conditions of the body may make it easier for a person to acquire this disease such as diabetes and use of antibiotics.

What causes Yeast Infection?

The scientific term for yeast infection is Candidiasis (2). This was derived from the yeast organism or fungus-like Candida that causes this condition. Fungus thrives in dark and moist areas such as the vaginal area of women. Certain health conditions such as pregnancy and diabetes make people, especially women, more prone to acquiring yeast infection. Pregnancy causes a change in the metabolic balance and vaginal acidity of women which is more favorable to fungus growth. Fungus are also known to thrive among individuals with high sugar levels such as in the case of people with diabetes and those with defects in sugar metabolism.

What are the treatments for Yeast Infection?

Medical doctors prescribe various oral medications such as Diflucan or fluconazole and topical treatments to cure yeast infection. But from experience, this suggestion never works as it does not address the cause of the infection. Additionally, the yeast becomes resistant to those drugs over time making the problem even worst (3). The key is to boost your immune system to handle the yeast overgrowth. One the ways we do it in the office is helping your body to get rid of the mercury present in the GI tract (4). Candida thrive in an environment consisting of sugar and toxins like mercury. Addressing these two points is critical to eliminate Candida once and for all. Too often, I see people coming in and tell me that they have tried everything to kill Candida in their body, but they never address the source of toxicity. In addition, when we kill Candida, mercury is being release in the blood stream, causing what people claim as being “die off”. Unfortunately, this newly released mercury is not being eliminated and accumulated in other parts of the body causing more issues. As you can see, doing a Candida cleanse is not that simple. Several factors must be addressed at the same for an efficient and complete elimination of Candida. This is performed by using herbs like garlic, pau d’arco, calendula, among others.

Nine Everyday Uses For Plain Old White Vinegar

We all run into situations where we end up using chemical products we don’t want to use. So, it’s nice to know there’s a safer alternative. Trusty old vinegar, especially white vinegar, can solve many of those problems without side effects. Here are nine ways to use it at home.

White Vinegar vs Cider (or other) Vinegar vs Cleaning Vinegar

Not all vinegars are equal. One reason why I specify white vinegar rather than apple cider or other kinds of vinegar is price. White vinegar only costs about $ 2.50 a gallon. Another is because other vinegars have residues in them. The same apple cider vinegar with the “mother” that is so beneficial when consumed, will clog the tiny openings in your nebulizer. It might leave smelly residue on your pets, or particles on your bathroom shower walls or door. Why pay more when white vinegar gives better results?

Most white vinegar is 5% strength. Another product, called cleaning vinegar, is a bit stronger at 6%. Cleaning vinegar has a bit more punch, but watch the price. At $ 5/gallon, it’s not THAT much better. At $ 3/gallon, it’s a deal.

Personal Uses for Vinegar

Vinegar to Prevent Cellulitis

This trick is one I figured out when my lower leg flared up on a weekend when the doctors’ offices were closed. I’d had cellulitis before and didn’t want it to progress to the infection stage. But it wasn’t worth a trip to the emergency room, either.

I figured that it couldn’t hurt to try the vinegar treatment – better that than do nothing. After soaking a dishtowel in vinegar (I could have used any type of vinegar as the residue wouldn’t make a difference,) I wrung it out and wrapped it around my ankle and lower leg for about 30 minutes. It worked. The inflammation went down right away and it didnt feel hot anymore. I did this again the second day, and my leg returned to normal by the third day.

Caution, though. If you do this and don’t get noticeable results within an hour or two of the first application, do seek medical care. If it’s hot and tender, definitely go to an urgent care or the emergency department. People have been hospitalized for cellulitis.

Vinegar to Remove Dry Skin

One outcome of treating the cellulitis was that the some of the vinegar dripped down to my foot. After 30 minutes of that, my dry, “summer foot” callouses began to break down. After scrubbing them with a washcloth to remove the vinegar-saturated, calloused skin, I was down to nice, soft skin on my feet. Compared to using lotion, which often took several applications, over several days, resulting in only partial softening the vinegar worked in less than an hour.

I’ve noticed, also, that anytime I work with vinegar, my hands are softer. And that’s better than using chemical laden lotions.

Vinegar as Pet Wash and Flea Killer

Like most cats, Mr. Mooo hates baths, so, we keep this torture as short as possible. This is as much for our benefit as his – he’s been known to draw blood the longer he’s kept wet. Judging from his angry eyes and iron grip on the edge of the sink (if not my arm,) I’m sure he hates this, but it cleans him nicely and leaves his fur extra soft.

While he rarely has fleas, we found that washing him with plain white vinegar kills any fleas he does have, immediately. They fall off easily during rinsing.

While, even with a thorough rinsing, he might smell vinegary for a while, the smell goes away completely once he’s dry. It also rinses off much easier than pet shampoo, so he, and we, are in and out much faster. And if he gets away before he’s completely rinsed, the vinegar won’t hurt him. I don’t know how licking off shampoo would affect cats, but it can’t be or taste good.

If you’re camping or RVing and have to wash your pets, especially outside, white vinegar is a godsend. No one’s going to care if you rinse a vinegar soaked dog in a river, or from a hose in the camping area.

Vinegar IS a weed-killer, so rinse where nothing desirable is growing, like a lawn or flower bed. Most RV slips have patios, dirt or graveled areas where you wouldn’t want weeds growing anyway, so you can knock out two jobs at once this way.

Practical Uses for Vinegar

Vinegar as Weedkiller

Speaking of weed-killer, white vinegar is a perfect choice. It’s natural, so no chemicals. Mix it with some magnesium and your weeds will wilt in about a day, and you’ll do no harm to the environment, people or critters. But, it can also kill off plants and grass that you want to keep, so apply it directly on the weeds you want to kill.

Vinegar to Remove Hard Water Stains

One day my husband decided to clean the shower door with vinegar instead of the chemical products we usually used for this purpose. Hard water is the toughest thing to clean in a shower, but white vinegar makes it a snap to clean off.

He was amazed at how easily and thoroughly it cleaned everything. It’s even easier when you use one of those Mr. Clean white sponges. But even with a regular or scrubber sponge, it works so nicely that I wonder how commercial products ever made it to the shelves. No chemicals, no smells, no fumes. And it disinfects, too.

Vinegar for Cleaning the Stove

Easy-off and similar products clean ovens, stove tops, grills, very nicely. But they give off toxic fumes, and an RV is so small a space that everyone has to get out if they want to breathe safely.

On the other hand, good old white vinegar can cut right through those burnt spots. Well, not right through, but spray it with vinegar and let it sit a while. Then scrub it off with a scrubber sponge or a Mr. Clean sponge. If it doesn’t come off right away, spray the stubborn spot down then warm the oven or microwave before scrubbing to soften those stubborn stains.

Vinegar for Cleaning Burnt Pans

We’ve all burned something while cooking, then get frustrated about how to clean it up. Vinegar is excellent for loosening burnt on foods. Pour a layer of vinegar, enough to cover the burned-on area, and simmer it for a few minutes. Let it sit for an hour, then scrub it off. Heating it usually works when you need a bit more cleaning power.

Vinegar for Cleaning the RV’s Black Tank

Most of us use the bacteria solutions in our black tanks, but sometimes that’s not enough. About once a month we pour a gallon of cleaning vinegar into the tank to help break down whatever solids that are stuck to the tank. Because vinegar kills bacteria, pouring the usual tank solution with bacteria would be a waste of that product, so save it for the next time you flush the tank.

Vinegar for Cleaning Respiratory Equipment

If you use any type of respiratory equipment at home, you may wonder about the best way to clean it. This equipment can range from nebulizers for breathing treatments, to CPAP machines, to oxygen concentrators, and anything you reuse.

I’m a retired respiratory therapist (RT) and, at one time, owned a medical equipment company. I’m disappointed in how things have changed over the years. It used to be that an RT came to your home and showed you how to assemble, disassemble and clean this equipment. But lately, the trend is toward just delivering the equipment via UPS or FedEx, assuming you will read and understand the instructions. That is, if they’re even included.

The good news is that cleaning this equipment isn’t difficult. Just disassemble the pieces of the nebulizer, or water bottle for the concentrator, or CPAP, or whatever equipment you reuse for any type of treatment. Pay close attention to how the pieces go together so that you can re-assemble them easily.

Then soak them in white vinegar mixed with water for about 30 minutes. Then rinse them and lay them on a paper towel to dry before reassembling them. Hang tubings so they can drain and dry faster. Alternatively, reassemble them and run the equipment so that the airflow dries the insides of the tubes, nebulizers, bottles, etc.

Distilled water is best, but people have used tap water with no problems. Recommendations vary from using one part vinegar to either three or four parts water (20% to 25% vinegar solution.) While either concentration works, it does matter that you use white or cleaning vinegar and not cider vinegar, because the particles can clog the tiny openings in nebulizers and water-bottle filters.

Hope these tips make your RVing life a little easier and healthier.

Resistant Starches – What They Are and Their Health Benefits

When you ask people whether or not they know soluble fiber and insoluble fiber, many may give this answers, ‘The former dissolves in water while the latter doesn’t.’ But when you ask them whether they have ever heard about resistant starch, some would stare blankly at you and others may simply tell you that they have never come across such compound.

Before discussing resistant starch any further, I would better explain that starches are classified as fibers. In the rest of the article, I would use the word starch the most as it is found appropriate based on context relevancies.

Although fibers are commonly classified as soluble or insoluble, a recent school of thought believes that fiber’s solubility doesn’t determine its physiological function. Instead, other properties such as viscosity and fermentability which prevail as more significant characteristics should be used to determine specific physiological functions.

Naturally occurring resistant starches are a group of fibers which can be soluble or insoluble fibers that resist digestion in the small intestine and are slowly fermented in the colon.

Although grouped into insoluble starches, both soluble fiber and insoluble fiber still perform their designated jobs: soluble fiber tends to slow digestion while insoluble fiber speeds it up.

Many studies involving humans show that resistant starch may have several effective health benefits that include improved insulin sensitivity, reduced abdominal fat,  improved gut health benefits, lower blood sugar levels, and reduced appetite.

4 Types of Resistant Starch

Resistant starches are classified according to structure or source, as follows:

  • RS1 resists digestion because it is bound within the fibrous cell walls. Sources: whole or partially milled grains, legumes, and seeds.
  • RS2 resists digestion because of the granule’s nature. Sources: raw potatoes, some legumes, unripe bananas, and high-amylose starches, such as high-amylose corn.
  • RS3 is formed in the cooking-cooling process. Sources: bread, tortillas, cooked and cooled rice, potatoes, and pasta.
  • RS4 is a man-made and chemically modified starch found in a wide range of products.

Superfood For Gut Health

How does resistant starch improve your gut health? When you eat resistant starch, it ends up in the colon, where microbiota ferments it and turns it into short-chain fatty acids.

When the bacteria ferment resistant starches, several compounds are produced, including gasses, and short-chain fatty acids such acetate, butyrate (most notable), and propionate.

Butyrate not only being the most important short-chain fatty acid but is actually the preferred fuel of the colon epithelia.

Short chain fatty acids are used as fuel by both microbiota and colon epithelial cells. Certain bacterial species in the colon survive by cross-feeding, using either the breakdown products of complex carbohydrate degradation or fermentation products such as lactic acid for growth.

Increases Good Bacteria Population

There are actually hundreds of different species of bacteria colonizing the intestine. In recent decades, scientists have suggested that the number and type of bacteria may possibly have a great impact on health.

Resistant starch feeds the friendly bacteria in the colon which provide a positive effect on the type of bacteria as well as their numbers.

An animal study has demonstrated that resistant starch consumption may possibly have modulatory effects on certain microbiota population by increasing the number of several types of beneficial bacteria.

Enhances Insulin Sensitivity, Lowers Blood Sugar Levels, and Improves Metabolic Health

Having insulin resistance (low insulin sensitivity) is believed to be a major causal factor in several degenerative diseases, including metabolic syndrome, obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and Alzheimer’s Disease.

Resistant starch may help you avoid or reduce the risk those chronic diseases by way of improving insulin sensitivity and lowering blood sugar.

Studies have shown that resistant starch may possibly help improve insulin sensitivity that is the insulin receptors located in your cell membranes cells become more responsive to insulin.

It may also very effective at improving satiety and lowering blood sugar levels after meals.

“Second-meal effect” you may gain by taking resistant starch with breakfast is that it not only lower the blood sugar spike in the morning but extend it at lunch.

Helps Lose Weight by Improving Satiety

The more resistant starches you add to your diet, the fewer calories it will contain. Is that so? Yes. It happens that way because resistant starch has only 2 calories per gram compared to regular starch that delivers 4 calories per gram!

Studies have shown that soluble fiber supplements can contribute to weight loss, primarily by increasing satiety (feelings of fullness) and reducing appetite.

Resistant starch has a similar effect. Adding resistant starch to your meals may help increase satiety and make you eat fewer calories.

Note: Adding resistant starch to your diet would not necessarily lead to any major effect on your weight as other methods, for instance, low-carb diet may help you lose weight effectively.

Are you happy being frustrated?

When we look at the root of the drug and alcohol problems in the affluent Western nations, frustration and misery always rise to the surface. Yet, most people in the world find that hard to believe.

After all, the people in the Western countries are so much wealthier and have such full facility to enjoy themselves that it seems implausible that they would be entrenched in an even bigger drug problem than the poor countries.

The problem is that most people are in the illusion that material wealth alone is sufficient to make a person happy. They are equating happiness and/or satisfaction with material sense enjoyment and that if the person is “enjoying” the bodily senses they will be satisfied.

The lesson to be learned is that if a person could be happy simply by enjoying the senses, there would never be problems associated with frustration and unhappiness.

People in the Western world are very affluent, have full facility for sense enjoyment, have money, have time, have, or could have, good health, and yet are not happy.

Seeing this reality, an intelligent person would ask, WHY?

The answer is simple: sense enjoyment is not enough to satisfy the person.

Yet, according to modern chemicalist philosophy, a person is nothing more than a combination of material chemicals. As such, if one makes the body’s senses happy that should eliminate frustration.

In real life, we see that people have full facility for bodily sense enjoyment but they are still not happy.

So, to understand the problem of alcoholism and drugs one has to go deeper into the subject of frustration and dissatisfaction.

Going deeper shows that despite experiencing sense gratification to the fullest there is still something still not addressed – spiritual starvation.

Alcoholism and the drug problem are merely symptoms of the disease. A disease that many people are reluctant to face.

While unknowingly suffering from this disease, there are people in various stages or degrees of this spiritual starvation.

There are so many that are so unhappy with their lives yet they still carry on with their duties and normal activities but turn to drugs and alcohol to help them forget their purposelessness. And by some weird quirk of fate this drug problem somehow becomes a drug solution.

Let’s say that, for example, a middle-aged man has spent most of his life working to be able to get all the facilities for their sense enjoyment as well as their family’s and has succeeded in doing so.

Then one day he sees that his kids are not satisfied despite all they have been provided with and he realizes that he will have to die one day and leave everything ha has accumulated.

What happens is that the feeling of having wasted many years of his life manifests? He worked his whole life to provide those things he thought would make his family happy and it did not. Now what?

Now the kids see that their parents are unhappy despite having wealth and they experience similar frustrations even though they never had to work for anything.

The vast majority of young people in America have facility for unlimited sense enjoyment that most people in other parts of the world can only dream about.

Being born into affluence means that you can get everything money can buy. Despite this, the kid is still unsatisfied.

Some time ago I wrote about the hippies in the late sixties and early seventies, when millions of young Americans, Europeans, Australians, etc., left their affluent homes and all its comforts, the vast majority of which took just the clothes on their backs and wandered around, living in cramped quarters with other young people, trying to find a deeper meaning of existence.

Unfortunately, most of them did not find a deeper meaning of existence and instead, succumbed to drugs. Why? Because they were trying to forget the meaninglessness of their existence.

Yes, the hippie movement is over, but the massive use of drugs for the purpose of forgetting the meaninglessness of our existence is one of the main effects that the hippie movement had on the greater American and western society as a whole.

To put is another way: a life which has as its central purpose nothing more than material sense enjoyment leads to annihilationism.

The idea that I am merely the material body, that I am matter, just chemicals, leads to hedonism or a life centered around the sole purpose of sense gratification. This leads to frustration, which ultimately leads to thoughts of the desire to cease existing.

There are two ways to try to get rid of pain. One is to try to get rid of the pain; the other is to try to get rid of the experiencer of the pain.

So whether they are pushing drugs, alcohol, annihilationism, or voidism, they are no different than the doctor who “cures” his patients by killing them.

So all these methods are attempts to decrease one’s awareness of his own existence. And since awareness or consciousness is the characteristic of life itself, the attempt to decrease such awareness is the symptom of the desire to die. This desire to become free from suffering by ending one’s existence is called mukti, or the liberation from suffering.

So, ultimately, the life of endless sense gratification, called bhukti, leads to frustration and misery, which leads to drugs or alcohol in the hopes of achieving mukti or liberation.

This is called the bhukti-mukti syndrome. First, the desire for sense gratification –bhukti –and then the desire for liberation from the purposeless and misery – mukti.

The solution to the bhukti-mukti syndrome is coming to the realization of your actual identity. The realization that we are not the material body but rather the life force within the material body. The body is material matter and temporary and the life force is spiritual and eternal.

We also must learn that we are not God but dominated parts and parcels of God. The realization of these two things will enable one to understand that the purpose of life is not to serve the senses but to somehow be engaged in loving service to God.

You see, we try to find happiness by playing God. In doing so we ultimately become frustrated and spiritually starved.

This can be compared to a finger on the body that is trying to enjoy independently. Imagine your finger sitting in a bowl of food, it’s right in the middle of the food but it can’t quite take the food in.

Seeing this I might tell my finger that to get energy from that food I need to get it to the mouth. From there it goes to the stomach and from the stomach the food is digested and ultimately delivered to me. But, the finger protests and wonders why it has to give it to someone else (the mouth) when all it wants to do is enjoy it directly.

The answer is that it is just not the natural position and function of the finger. That’s the arrangement and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

The only way the finger can get energy is for it to work in coordination with the entire body and help get the food to the stomach.

The same thing applies to the living entity. The living entity is part and parcel of God. We are all parts of Him. If we try to enjoy independently or separately from His concern, then we will not actually experience true satisfaction of joy.

People in the Western world do not understand this. We are sitting in the midst of incredible wealth, just like the finger sitting in the middle of the food.

But so many people are spiritually starving to death because they do not know their actual identity or their relation to God or the purpose of the human form of life.

We wrongly identify ourselves as our bodies. We see ourselves as being the dominator and consider that our natural position is to be master or enjoyer. So we set out on a path of exploitation in life, believing that we can have happiness independently from God.

People need to be spiritually educated as to who and what they are and what their relationship with God is. Until that happens, we will continue to be bound by selfish interests and endure the bhukti-mukti syndrome endlessly.

The economic development of the West has been built almost entirely upon the desire for their own sense gratification. In other words, for a person to have sense gratification they must secure themselves economically. This is the motivating force. The belief that this sense gratification will make us happy is no longer as strong or convincing in the people as a whole.

There are millions of young people who feel no motivation to make economic advancement. They feel completely without reason to live. They were originally taught that the goal of life is sense gratification and the way to achieve it is to work hard for economic development.

From their own experiences that sense gratification is not enough to satisfy them they no longer have motivation to work and feel hopeless.

So, how do we resolve the conflict? It all starts in your heart where two beings reside: the soul and the Super Soul, aka God. Since God resides in the heart of ALL living beings, He knows your thoughts and desires. If you sincerely want to know Him, He will work it out. All it takes on your part is the sincere desire.

If you understand that God is in your heart does it not stand to reason that your body is truly a temple? As such, why do we continually defile it? Question: would you go into a church/temple/ synagogue/mosque or another place of worship and literally pee or take a dump on the floor? It’s probably the last thing you would do.

So, why then do you continually do it to your body?

You fill your temple with rotting carcasses, with heavy pesticides and drugs, both medicinal and recreational, smoke and alcohol, artificial sweeteners and flavors, chemically produced foods, and so many other pollutants and atrocities, and yet wonder why what is happening to you is happening to you.

See your body for the temple that it is and respect the Inhabitant and His part and parcel and maybe, just maybe, one day you will get the surprise of your life by finding out there is a God.
