Mr Ferguson told the inquest that she had struggled to cope with her mother’s death from a heart attack, and subsequently produced anorexia.

‘For the next couple of months she was not consuming effectively. She experimented with to disguise it with baggy garments.’

Miss Ferguson consulted her GP about her consuming disorder, and was referred to two clinics such as the Priory Centre in Bury.

He added that in her twenties she had received “really enthusiastic” about vitamins and dietary supplements but that it had just been a “phase”.

‘She invested some time there but when she came out her appetite had returned,’ her father mentioned. ‘She had responded to therapy.

‘She seemed definitely fine and was very pleased with herself. She had everything to seem forward to.

‘We had booked a vacation to Egypt in September. She had been out getting new outfits – she was excited.’

Mr Ferguson said that his daughter, whom he described as ‘fit and active’, complained of a headache when she returned from perform on September 22.

He imagined she was asleep when he checked her bedroom at 8am the subsequent day, but when he looked yet again at midday she was ‘unresponsive’.

Pathologist Abdul Al-Dawoud, who carried out a port-mortem examination, explained the ‘most likely’ lead to of death was an inflammation of the heart named myocarditis, frequently brought on by viral infections.

Speaking soon after the inquest Mr Ferguson, a retired factory worker stated the inquest had offered him some closure.

He explained: “Yes it is provided me some closure realizing it was natural causes. I have been waiting for the postman daily to find out the date of the inquest.

“I can’t realize how a lady of her age who is as match as a fiddle can go to rest and not wake up, it’s unbelievable. I have by no means heard of myocarditis, she did not complain.
